Facilities and Resources

The department is closely associated with the History department, in terms of staff and accommodation. All lessons are taught in rooms with data projectors and interactive whiteboards. Lower Sixth pupils travel to the Northern Ireland Assembly every year. The department also takes a bi-yearly trip to the Houses of Parliament in London. Every year our pupils’ knowledge and understanding is enriched by speakers and additional visits, including meeting local MLAs, attending politically themed plays and lectures arranged by local universities.
